Consolidation of Location-Level Suspicious Incident Report Emails

We have updated the way suspicious incident report emails are sent to users. To streamline this process, we will now send a single consolidated email every week instead of multiple emails for each location.

What Has Changed?

  • Old System: Users received individual emails for each location reporting suspicious incidents. This resulted in multiple notifications being sent weekly per location.

  • New System: Starting April 4, 2025 at 3:00 AM EST, users will now receive a single, consolidated email each week. This email includes all suspicious incidents reported across all locations. Instead of receiving multiple emails, users can review the incidents in one comprehensive email.

How Does This Benefit Users?

  • Reduced Notification Overload: By consolidating all incidents into one email, we help reduce the number of notifications users receive, making it easier to stay informed without being overwhelmed by multiple alerts.

  • Efficient Incident Management: The weekly email includes a direct link to the Report Portal, allowing users to quickly access and manage any new incidents that have been reported. This means you can address issues more promptly and stay on top of developments with minimal effort.

  • Improved Clarity and Organization: With one email, users get routed to the Report Portal where they can see an overview of all suspicious incidents, making it easier to track incidents across multiple locations in a single glance.

Why Are We Making This Change?

The primary reason for this change is to improve the user experience by reducing email overload. Previously, users would receive multiple emails for each location, which could be cumbersome to manage and may result in missed or overlooked incidents. By consolidating these notifications, we aim to:

  • Enhance Efficiency: One consolidated email saves time and minimizes distractions. Users no longer need to sift through multiple messages to get a comprehensive view of all incidents.

  • Minimize Email Fatigue: Too many notifications can lead to "email fatigue," causing users to either ignore or miss important updates. This change ensures that users are still informed but in a less intrusive manner.

  • Provide Direct Access to Incident Reports: With the new system, users can directly access the report portal through the email, streamlining the process of investigating and addressing incidents.

What Should You Expect?

  • Frequency of Emails: You will receive one consolidated email each week.

  • Email Contents: The email will include a link to the report portal where the user can access the suspicious incidents reported across all locations during the week.
